One of the ways Rotary strengthens our community is by investing in its future through support for children, literacy, and education. Thanks to the generosity of our members and supporters at this year’s Rotary Wine Dinner, we are able to give back to organizations that share this commitment.
Today, the Rotary Club of Shepherdstown is proud to award two $500 grants—one to the Shepherdstown Public Library and one to the Shepherdstown Day Care Center. Both organizations play a vital role in helping children learn, grow, and develop a lifelong love of reading and learning.
We are grateful for the important work these organizations do every day and are pleased to support their efforts with funds raised through our Rotary Wine Dinner.
Representing the Shepherdstown Public Library are Kristie Haggerty, Director, and Jessie Ward, Children’s Library Assistant. Representing the Shepherdstown Day Care Center are Melissa Holman, Director, and Michelle Robinson. We are delighted to welcome them this morning to accept these grants and share how these funds will benefit the children and families they serve.
