The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown is pleased to announce the induction of new member Scott Wachtel, who officially joined the club on October 21, 2026.
Scott Wachtel is an experienced real estate professional with more than 15 years of helping buyers and sellers navigate residential real estate transactions throughout Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia. Licensed in all three states, Scott brings broad regional knowledge along with the local insight clients need to make confident decisions in a changing market.
Scott has built his practice around a straightforward principle: strong representation and personalized service should not require clients to give up more of their hard-earned equity than necessary. Whether assisting a first-time buyer, marketing a home for sale, or guiding a client through a multi-state transaction, Scott focuses on responsive service, practical advice, and value-conscious representation. Originally from Maryland, Scott has proudly called West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle home for more than 30 years. That long-standing connection to the community, combined with extensive professional experience across the tri-state area, allows Scott to serve clients with both a regional perspective and hometown commitment.
Rotary International is a global network of more than 1.4 million neighbors, friends, and leaders who volunteer their skills and resources to solve problems and address community needs. The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown plays an active role locally by supporting youth programs, scholarships, community service initiatives, and nonprofit partnerships. Through hands-on service and collaborative leadership, the club works to strengthen the Shepherdstown community and create lasting positive change.
