Shepherdstown Rotary Club Welcomes New Member Samira Yazdanfar-Drennen

The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown proudly welcomed Samira Yazdanfar-Drennen as its newest member during the club’s June 24th induction ceremony.

Samira brings more than 15 years of experience as a multidisciplinary architectural designer, having worked on a wide range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects across the United States, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG), and Iran. Her professional focus centers on sustainable and net-zero energy building design, and she is deeply committed to leveraging her expertise for community-based development.

Currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development and Design at the Boston Architectural College, Samira is on track to graduate this fall. She is passionate about applying innovative design principles to projects that support both environmental responsibility and community well-being.

Samira lives in Shepherdstown and has recently become active in the local Rotary Club, attending multiple meetings prior to her induction. She is being mentored by fellow Rotarians Andrew Lowe and Hank Walter.

The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown is excited to welcome Samira and looks forward to the contributions she will bring to the club’s service initiatives and mission of “Service Above Self.”
