Rotary Donates to Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department

Jim King, Coy Beverage, Rick Caruso

This morning at our weekly club meeting, Lieutenant Coy Beverage received $500 on behalf of Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department to their training program. The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown truly appreciates all their commitment to our community and partnerships each year. Our Club has had a long term relationship with the SVFD as our membership has collectively provided monetary support for the firemen’s  training program.  This partnership has flourished into an exchange of community support to include assistance with holiday decorations at McMurran Hall, pumper truck support for waterslide activities during our July 4 community celebration, and support for Shepherdstown Beer & Food Fest.

SVFD to be the oldest, and most experienced, fire department in the State of West Virginia. Founded in 1792, the Shepherdstown Fire Department has served Jefferson County, WV and surrounding regions for over 225 years. Read more about their History.
