Wednesday March 6, 2024 we were honored to hear from three groups.
First, we heard from Jefferson County Development Authority Executive Director Edwina “Eddie” Benites as well as the Assistant Deputy County Commissioner Jessica James on open volunteer and board seats in Jefferson County leadership.
Rotarian Charlie Smith spoke on project updates for the springhouse repair project at Morgan’s Grove Park. This is the second largest water source for the town of Shepherdstown.
And finally, we were happy to have a visit from District 7360 Foundation chair, Rene-Paul Forier, who visited on behalf of our upcoming fundraiser May 17th in Hagerstown for our Foundation. Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects. With a 4-star charity navigator rating, the Rotary Foundation is one of the most impactful international charitable organizations.
