The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown has inducted Nicholas Russo as a new member. The induction ceremony was held at the Club’s March 19 evening meeting at the Bavarian Inn.

He specializes in working dogs (including odor detection and police apprehension) but also has expertise in correcting canine behavior issues, preparing canines for service dog tasks, and personal protection canine training for individuals and families.
He serves as a K9 instructor for the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, and is frequently called to be an expert witness on dog behavior in various court cases in that state. He is also an American Kennel Club evaluator and therapy dog evaluator. He is certified as a Master Trainer and handler by the American Mantrailing, Police & Work Dog Association. He and his K9 Odin were responsible for a large narcotic bust in New York.
