Natalie Dunn Joins Shepherdstown Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown has inducted Natalie Dunn as a new member on the May 15th evening meeting. The accompanying photo shows Dunn, center, with club member and sponsor Teri Biebel, left,  and District and Club Membership chair PDG Dana Orsini, right.
Natalie is a professional political organizer with 7 years of experience in the field, working for campaigns and nonprofits. She worked for the Colorado College Annual Fund as a fundraiser, and was an organizer for the Bernie Sanders campaign for president in 2015. Natalie worked full-time for the Arizona Democratic Party in 2016, as well as the MoveOn.org.
After the 2016 election, she went back to school at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, and graduated a semester early in 2019. During her college years, she was house manager and a member of the Gamma Tau Upsilon Sorority, head of the Sewanee College Democrats, a member of the Sewanee Choir, and did “paid” political work over the summers for the Christine Pellegrino for State Assembly campaign in New York. She also completed a fellowship for the Wisconsin Democratic Party, and traveled to Croatia to attend the Cres Summer School to study transitional justice.
Currently, Natalie works at Indivisible as an organizing manager. She is an avid crocheter and knitter, a hobby she has had since she was six years old. She enjoys making her own clothes, working to serve her community, and she volunteers at the local library when time allows. She is the vice chair of her bargaining unit, which is unionized with WBNG Local 32035. She was also a member of the negotiating committee.  She enjoys working with organized labor and established unions, especially as it overlaps with local community service and the trades. Natalie states, “But most of all, I do these things because it gets people together in a room talking about what’s important, because that is my true passion and the feeling I chase in life.”
