The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown has inducted Jamie Miller as a new member. The induction ceremony was held at the Club’s September 10 morning meeting at the Bavarian Inn. The accompanying photo from the ceremony shows, from left to right, Club president Cara Keys, Miller, Club membership chair Dana Orsini, and Club vice president Dale Homan.

Miller has been a recruiter for West Virginia University Medicine’s Berkeley and Jefferson medical centers for nearly three years, recruiting for several nursing services departments and other professional healthcare positions at the two facilities.

Previously, she was a student recruiter for WVU for six years. Prior to that, she taught in Berkeley County Schools and then was engaged in teaching, foundation activities, and institutional research at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College.

Miller has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from WVU and a Master of Business Administration degree from Shepherd University.

She was a member of the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 Leadership Berkeley Program class.

Her volunteer activities have included helping with WVU’s “Old Gold, New Blue” campaign, which raised over $1 billion to support the university’s activities, and serving as the faculty advisor to the BRC&TC Rotaract Club, a Rotary-sponsored service organization for students.

A native of Martinsburg, she and her family have lived in Shepherdstown since 2017.
