Thanks to the Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department and its ladder truck crew, members of the Shepherdstown Rotary Club finished decorating McMurran Hall for Christmas early Friday morning (very early–the operation began before dawn).
The ladder truck was used to hang wreaths on the Hall’s windows. This allowed Rotary members to complete this job safely, and it also gave fire department members an always-useful opportunity to practice their ladder-truck skills.
The Rotarians who participated in the effort included Mark Duvall (shown in the accompanying photo at the end of the ladder); Sean Murtagh; Ann Baronner; and Rick Caruso. The Fire Department members who manned the truck included John Sine, Keith Fleming, and “Bobby.”
