Tom Maiden on D-Day Anniversary in Normandy

We are very honored to have our own Tom Maiden as guest speaker tomorrow morning.  Tom has the distinction of serving nearly two years as President of our club, from September 1996 thru June 1998.  Tom’s wife Michele is also a Past President (2018-2019).  When he isn’t busy working as a Certified Financial Planner and a Principal Agent of Insurance Outfitters here in Shepherdstown, Tom serves as a Captain in the US Navy Reserve.  Presently he is the Commanding Officer of the Navy Reserve’s Defense Attache Service unit.  Tom is an Iraq War veteran.  This past June Tom served as the personal escort to Admiral Lisa Franchetti (the US Navy Chief of Naval Operations) during her visit to Normandy, France for the D-Day 80^th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony.  Tom will share his experiences from this very special trip to France.
