Restoring Lost History Through Cemetery Preservation with Addison Reese

Addison Reese works at the Shepherdstown Public Library and is the chair of the Jefferson County Historic Landmarks Commission. She is a board member of the African American Community Association of Jefferson County (AACAJC), assistant superintendent of Fairview-Gibsontown Cemetery, and caretaker of Kearneysville Methodist Cemetery. For the past eight years, Addison has researched, documented, and restored African American cemeteries throughout Jefferson County.
