Pies, Pints & Pours for Polio 🎃
Just in time for World Polio Day and Halloween, join your fellow Rotarians and friends on Wednesday, October 28 at 6:00 PM for an evening of good food, good company and a few good ghost stories, all to help End Polio Now.
Bring a friend, Rotarian or not. ALL are welcome to help raise money for PolioPlus as we dine together at one of Shepherdstown’s finest restaurants!
It’s a chance to be together for a fun social night while we raise money for Rotary’s PolioPlus fund. Panagiota’s will donate 10% of proceeds to PolioPlus. The bonus: they are opening up the speakeasy downstairs just for us!

6:00pm: Dinner at Panagiota’s
Arrive at Panagiota’s for a family-style Greek dinner with all our Rotary friends.
- Wear RED for Rotary’s PolioPlus visibility!
- Bring an extra friend or two. Bring the whole family!
- Panagiota’s donates 10% of sales to PolioPlus.
7:00pm: Burnt Secrets Cellar Speakeasy Doors Open
- The password to get into the speakeasy is “ERADICATE POLIO”
- There is a $5 cover charge to enter the speakeasy, which pays the bartender for our private party.
7:30pm: Private Ghost (History) Tour of Burnt Secrets Cellar
Join proprietor Lindsey Spanos for a private tour.
- See how a former crematorium was transformed into an authentic 1920s-style speakeasy.
- Hear the tales of former residents and the current “ghosts” who still haunt the building, and find out why there’s always an empty table set in one of the rooms.
We hope to see you there, dressed in red and ready for a great night in support of a polio-free world!
