American Conservation Film Festival

February 11 @ 7:30 am - 8:30 am EST

Our guest speakers are Elise Baach and Dan Trezise with the American Conservation Film Festival (ACFF).  Both Dan and Elise serve on the ACFF Board of Directors.  Dan grew up in the Finger Lakes region of New York State and has 30+ years of experience in Hollywood with the technical sides of film production.  Dan has worn many hats, but most often has served as a visual effects supervisor or digital composer.  Elise Baach has worked in Washington, D.C. as an attorney in private practice, in the federal government and in the nonprofit sector. Elise has served as a board member of nonprofit organizations in a variety of fields.  She was raised in the San Joaquin Valley in California.

The ACFF is based in Shepherdstown where it was founded in 2003.  It presents conservation-focused films and programs that engage, inform, and inspire.  This year’s version of the ACFF is from March 6 – 9 at the Frank Arts Center on the campus of Shepherd University.  Dan and Elise will share some background on the ACFF and present a few clips from films which will be featured at this year’s event.
