Meet Collin Alexander, Shepherd University’s CFO

Collin Alexander is Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at Shepherd University, where he oversees the financial and administrative operations that keep the university running. He came to Shepherd in 2024, bringing nearly 13 years of experience in nonprofit healthcare finance. Collin earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland Global Campus and an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Collin’s commitment to service extends well beyond campus. He volunteers as treasurer for three nonprofits: Child Care Counts, Beauty for Ashes Africa, and Semper Liberi. Each one supports families and individuals working through difficult circumstances. At home, Collin and his wife are raising five children, and when he can find a spare moment, you’ll find him out for a run.
