The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown has inducted husband and wife Matthew and Angelina Gray as a new members. The induction ceremony was held at the Club’s January 30 breakfast meeting at the Bavarian Inn.

Matt and Angelina live in Shepherdstown. They have three children: Bella, who attends Shepherdstown Elementary School; Glotia, who attends John Jay College in NYC; and Joshua, who also lives here in Shepherdstown. Matt is a retired veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard after 26 years of service. He currently runs his own IT and Project Management Consulting Firm working primarily with the Department of Homeland Security. He is a co-owner of two property management firms; BHBB (Brother Helped By Brother) and Palmer/Gray, LLC in Fort Collins, CO. Matt has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Project Management, as well as an Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration.
Angelina has been an active volunteer in Girl Scouts for 19 years. She is currently a leader for local troop 15099, a member of the Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital Salute to Service Advisory Board in DC, a Jefferson County Service Unit 18-08 Events Coordinator, a SHARE Coordinator, and Troop Organizer for Shepherdstown Elementary School. She organized the first “Election Connection for Girls” in Jefferson County that included local female politicians and a State Senator, and was invited to present this event at the Girl Scout’s Nation’s Capital board meeting in DC. Angelina also organizes an annual community art show for World Thinking Day. She served as a vestry member for Trinity Episcopal Church in Shepherdstown for three years, and is quite active with the church: reading during the service and serving at the altar many Sundays. She is also a volunteer with the Shepherdstown Community Club and served on their board for one year. She volunteers for their annual book sale and the Back Alley Garden Tour and Tea. Currently, she is training to be a CASA volunteer.
