DESCRIPTION:Join us for a great day of golf and community service!\nWe look forward to hosting you at the Rotary Club of Shepherdstown’s premier event of the summer. Your participation will enable us to continue to extend our community leadership in the areas of: \nPromoting peace\nFighting disease\nProviding clean water\, sanitation\, and hygiene\nSaving mothers and children\nSupporting education\nGrowing local economies. \nThe course at Cress Creek is simply breathtaking. Experienced architect Robert Elder skillfully molded 112 acres of lush rolling terrain into a course that is challenging and rewarding. Reaching to the dramatic Potomac River cliffs\, the course is punctuated with glistening ponds\, rambling streams\, white sand bunkers\, elevated tees\, and finely manicured bentgrass greens. \nEach hole has a unique character that requires patience\, respect and careful shot planning. Golfers face tight landing areas from the tees\, with sharp doglegs and hazards guarding the line of play. The “River Hole” sequence on the front nine has been described by enthusiasts as unsurpassed in the Mid-Atlantic region. \nThe professional offers instruction at the practice facility and on the course.
