SUMMARY:Potomac River Clean Up
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our fourth annual Potomac River Cleanup and Float planned by our new Environmental Service Committee. Below is a web link to a signup sheet. \nThe starting point on the morning of Sept. 20 is the meadow at Steamboat Run\, in proximity to the Vreugdenhil residence. We then float the Potomac and remove as much debris as we can; there will unfortunately be plenty. \nOur end point is the Shepherdstown Boat Ramp\, just below the James Rumsey Bridge. The trip will take about 3 hours. Canoes and kayaks are needed\, along with pickups to haul them. \n(Check out the short video from our float in 2023.) \n \nAt 2 p.m. there will be a barbecue picnic at the Vreugdenhil residence for those who can attend. \nMore information to follow. \nQuestions may go to Daan Vreugdenhil at daanv@birdlist.org or call Daan at 304-581-7740. \nConsider joining in for a few hours on the morning of September 20! \nPotomac River Cleanup Project – Google Sheets
