SUMMARY:Hospice and Palliative Care 101: What to Expect and When to Refer
DESCRIPTION:A relative newcomer to supportive care\, Jim Klein joined Hospice of the Panhandle in January 2024. He efforts have made an immediate impact in developing community partnerships and the expansion of service. His zeal and effectiveness manifested recognition by the NHPCO (National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization) where he was invited to speak at the national conference in Denver\, Colorado in September and hopes to share similar information in his Rotary presentation. The focus of the information Jim will share includes a wide variety of supportive care as well as a brief overview of recent community partnerships (Panhandle Palliative Services\, our free grief services\, in-patient facility and volunteering with Hospice of the Panhandle).
