Legislative Update on the Eastern Panhandle & West Virginia

This morning's speaker is Delegate Riley Moore, a Shepherdstown Rotarian and WV delegate from the 67th district, the Harper's Ferry/Shepherdstown area.  He will provide a Legislative Update on the Eastern Panhandle & West Virginia.

Delegate Moore is a native of Morgantown, WV. He began his career as a welder in a rock quarry maintaining mining equipment. While a welder, he put himself through George Mason University and earned a BA degree in government & international politics. Next, he earned a MA degree in strategic security studies from the National Defense University, Ft. McNair, Washington, DC.

Riley worked as a contractor for the Dept. of Homeland Security. Then he served as a national security advisor on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. During this time, he was appointed & served as secretary of the US delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Riley now works as a vice president of the Podesta Group, a government relations firm.

A Shepherdstown Rotarian, Riley  is a member of the Shepherdstown Community Club, the WV Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, the WV Farm Bureau, the Eastern Panhandle Business Association, and the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
